Арнольд Шварценеггер: «Сиквелы “Хищника” были неудачными»
В разговоре с журналистами Reddit Арнольд Шварценеггер признался, что он пока не получал приглашения сыграть в новом «Хищнике». К работе над сюжетом фильма прошлым летом приступил сценарист «Смертельного оружия» и «Железного человека 3» Шейн Блэк, исполнивший в фантастическом боевике 1987 года роль Хоукинса.
«В моих планах остаются съемки в сиквелах "Конана-варвара" и "Близнецов", но по поводу "Хищника" ко мне никто не обращался, — сказал Арнольд. — От работы над фильмом Джона МакТирнана у меня остались самые приятные воспоминания. Шейн Блэк помог добавить в сценарий несколько забавных фраз, которые приобрели культовый статус у зрителей. Желаю ему удачи.
Пока что ни один из тех фильмов о Хищнике, что вышли на экраны после первой части, не принес зрителям большой радости.

Довольно часто попытка снять продолжение успешного проекта завершается неудачей. Виной всему жадность: кинокомпании хотят мало тратить и много зарабатывать. Они экономят на актерах и режиссерах, но в итоге все оборачивается полным провалом».
В 1990 году состоялась премьера второго фильма о Хищнике. Главную роль в этой ленте исполнил Дэнни Гловер. В 2004 и 2007 году знаменитый киномонстр появлялся в дилогии «Чужой против Хищника», но в 2010 году «Хищники» проигнорировали события этих лент.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone always need the big party table when they head out for a bite to eat.
And Saturday was no different as the action heroes rolled up to their favourite spot with an entire Hollywood wolf pack.

The old friends and their group of merry men - which included actor Chuck Zito and hairdresser to the stars Giuseppe Franco - hit up their go-to Beverly Hills, California, lunch spot Cafe Roma.
The sixty-somethings and their entourage meet on an almost weekly basis to catch up over some food.
And this week Sly and his 68-year-old Expendables co-star seemed in particularly good moods as they wrapped up their bro-date.

While Arnie and Sly are good mates these days, they were famously rivals in the eighties, competing for similar film roles featuring plenty of action and muscle.
Sly even told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that he holds Arnold responsible for some of his worst film roles.
He recounted being pressured by studio execs to take a role, or else Arnold would take it: '"I'm telling you, if you don't do Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, he's in!"'
But there's no doubt he admires his former rival, adding: 'I think he's brilliant, what he's done, and what he's accomplished. He's had three different careers.'

Посмотрела нового Терминатора, намутили конечно...без поллитра не разберешь))) Прошлое теперь изменилось (почему, каким образом? не понятно...) и потом, кто послал терминатора охранять Сару Конор? А главное, зачем было делать из главного героя (Джона Конора) злодея? Получается, что миссия коту под хвост? Или теперь Сара и Кайл Риз заделают нового Джона?))) Короче, каша полная...Но тем не менее я не жалею, что посмотрела фильм. На Арни всегда приятно смотреть, в любом возрасте))

Ой, а еще я недавно посмотрела фильм "Мегги", никак не могла обойти его стороной, во-первых потому что, обожаю драмы, ну и наличие в нем Арни меня еще сильнее подстегнуло к просмотру. Что могу сказать - мне было скучно. Не знаю. Собственно в описании фильма и есть весь фильм. Все время показывают больную девочку и ее папу, который страдает и не хочет с ней расставаться...даже когда та полностью обратилась. Затянутые диалоги...Концовка вообще не понравилась. Но зато Арни удивил, никогда не видела его в такой роли. Необычно. Но он молодец, что пробует себя в разных амплуа. Это всегда плюс для актера. Не все же крутых парней играть)) Короче, моя оценка 4 из 10 и то, 4-ка за Арни! http://www.kinopoisk.ru/film/587085/

Arnold Schwarzenegger wins 'icon' prize

Action star Arnold Schwarzenegger has been honoured with the Zurich Film Festival's top award, the Golden Icon, for his work in film and politics.
Schwarzenegger is best known as the hardman of cult movies such as the Terminator and Conan the Barbarian.
He served two terms as California governor from 2003 to 2011 before returning to acting in The Expendables.
"I'm happy to be back into acting and that I did my public service. I will be doing many more movies," he said.
Previous recipients of the Golden Icon have included Diane Keaton and Morgan Freeman.
Austrian-American Schwarzenegger, 68, was presenting his latest film, Maggie, at the festival.
He plays a farmer struggling to look after his dying daughter, played by Little Miss Sunshine actress Abigail Breslin.

In something of a departure for the actor, the film is a horror thriller.
He is more commonly associated with action roles, with his major breakthrough 1982's Conan the Barbarian, which led to a sequel and then to further hit action movies, most notably the Terminator series and Predator.

He has also ventured into comedy, with notable films including Twins, with Danny DeVito, and Kindergarten Cop.
Schwarzenegger's worldwide fame as both actor and politician belie his relatively humble roots. He grew up in rural Austria, the son of the local police chief.
From an early age, he had a keen interest in fitness and bodybuilding and it was this that saw him emigrate to the US.
He made his name and fortune after coming to prominence as the winner of Mr Universe when he was 20.
Last month television network NBC said Schwarzenegger would replace US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as the host of reality show The Celebrity Apprentice.

The two action heroes are good friends - and everyone seemed amused by Arnie's joke
When a lucky fan posed for a picture with Sylvester Stallone , he probably wasn't expecting this to happen.

As the action movie legend stood next to a tall man in a pink shirt, they were interrupted when none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger walked into frame.

The actor and bodybuilder strolled in smoking a cigar, photobombing his Expendables co-star in impressive style.
With a perfect look of nonchalance, Arnie puffed and blew out smoke as his friend broke into a big smile over the prank.

The brilliant snaps were uploaded to imgur by user trishtashuk, who added the cheeky caption: "Old man with cigar spoiled the photo with celebrity"
The two stars might be friends now, but in the past they shared a "violent hatred" through competition.

He previously told David Letterman: "We had a violent hatred. Have you ever had that ever?

"Competition where you really had an arch enemy that kind of brings out the best in you. As Arnold would say, it really pushed you to accelerate.”
However, eventually the competition and rivalry gave way to "mutual respect" and friendship over the years.

Sly added: "Now we have this mutual respect, we're survivors, and now it's like, 'You know what? This guy is pretty special.'"

Arnold Schwarzenegger Says He's 'Honored' to Be New "Celebrity Apprentice" Host

(LOS ANGELES) -- Arnold Schwarzenegger will replace Donald Trump in the boardroom on the upcoming season of The Celebrity Apprentice, and the action star can't wait to fill Trump's seat.

"I'm honored to see the reaction from all the fans," he told In Touch Weekly. "It pumps me up big-time and I can't wait to get to work!"

NBC ended its business relationship with Trump in June and declined to air his Miss USA pageant after he made controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants.

Former California governor Schwarzenegger said it'll be easy for him to fill Trump shoes. "I've always been a huge fan of the show," he admitted.

Although Schwarzenegger has had a long and varied career, he's excited about taking on this challenge. "You know, I have loved every part of my career," he added. "But life isn't about how much you make, it's how much you give."

There's no word when The Celebrity Apprentice will return to NBC.
